Transferrign from camhs to adult services!!!
Well....................im well known as BananaGirl on here but i got two accounts i dotn use the other one anymore so this will appear to be my only posts on here but it isnt to be honest,
This weekend it got hard all the emotions swamoped me i felt overwhlemed and weanted to kill myself and wanted to end it all, i recnetly changed GP too so i didnt know who to go tooo then. I phoned Wakefield Adult Crisis team and they told me to phone camhs crisis team but i tried explaing that they dont work like that and that i cannot get in touch with them but they didnt listen
I rang nhs direct the night after and got through to the East Riding Crisis team and they were FAB very supportive i liked them a lot they helped loads this weekend.
Then i was speaking with my CAMHS worker and he told me Goole CMHT will be taking me over in the next 6 weeks and that i should expect a lot of changes! Im scared abotu this i dont know what to expect ive never realyl spoke to anyone from adult services?
What is it like and what should i expect?

hey, I transfered over about 3 years ago now ( gosh it doesnt seem that long!! ) my experience was really posative.
The main difference i found is the way they speak to you i found, they treat u like an adult I know that sounds really obviuosly but they dont question u as much, i found it alot less patronising and u get alot more of a say in ur care as ur seen as old enuff to know. Dont panic I dont mean they expect u 2 take charge but they will ask u alot more about what u want.
They also seem to give u alot more rights, well thats how I found my team, dont panic to much I hope it goes ok xx

Hi hun, i am actually near you, I live in hull :)
I have been with CAMHS for a year now ,currently there are no really plans for me to go to adult services though my CPN will be given me two numbers so i can go to adult services if i feel i need it. Though i am too, very scared about this. As i actually have a good .. relationship with my cpn as she has helped me so much.
Sorry my advice is not great, though you arent alone and i live near you :)
