I am currently:
Triggering (SI) - need some coaping skills

i am wanting to cut again. does anyone have any coaping skills that work that they would like to share.

Well sometimes I like to pinch myself for a super-temporary pain fix. Pinching hurts and lets me take my mind off of bothering issues, if only for a few little bit. Technically this may still be SI, but at least it doesn't leave any scars or cause any major damage.

Also - and this is probably a much better coping mechanism - I've gotten into the habit of running, which is good for you and gives you a "runner's high" that feels great afterwards. Exercise in general will make you feel better about yourself like you wouldn't believe. I'd recommend it. If you specifically want a "pain fix", try doing sit-ups, push-ups, or pull-ups until it burns - I like to think of this as cheating, because it puts your body in pain, but it's good for you and can actually help with depression.

I am currently:

Start a project. I cross stitch paint by numbers and spirograph they all keep me distracted. Scribbling really hard on paper can help venting anger in word or drawing.

ice is often good..ive used it a few times..if you hold an ice cube in your palm and squeeze it, it will hurt..
it doesnt work for everyone, but you might as well give it a go?

A good one for me is to text someone when I get a really bad urge. Not necessarily to tell them you want to cut, but with me just chatting about random stuff helps to lessen the urge to make it easier to cope with.

Exercising is another good one for me. It does give you a high, or at the very least tires you out so you can't be bothered to cut.

Have you looked at The BIG Distraction Page? It has loads of coping/distracting ideas on it which you might find helpful.
