CMHT question
I was discharged in May but am going back next monday for an assessment, just wondering why i have to have another assessment, surely they'd still have all my notes? or have they all been discarded? i'm just curious.

They will have all your previous notes but they will do a totally separate assessment when you go there again. They will assess things as they are now and go from there, but in answer to your question, no notes have been discarded. I believe that they stay within the CMHT for a long time, I know that camhs notes have a shelf life of 7 years and then they are destroyed I think, but adult team notes may be even longer than that.

They will already know about you but they will do another assessment to see if anything has changed etc and then that way they can get the best care plan in place to support you.
