I know..these can be annoying...sorry
ANYways...anyone else had the terrible, days long headache, inability to eat, fever, etc etc?? Pls tell me it wont last....
Not sure if its all the traz or the sudden stop of 800mg of quetiapine...
On the plus side, im actually sleeping good, but sooo groggy druing the day its awful...
Anyone?
thx
I experienced more or less the same as you when i stopped quetiapine/seroquel suddenly. It felt like I had a really bad flu for about a week and I couldn't eat or go out, just felt ill.
sticks and stones may break your bones but words can tear your heart out.
Thx for replies...yes, pretty sure it was the sudden stop.
In hindsight was stupid...am rather surprised my doc didnt set a schedule.
Nor did I think of it = stupid.
But it lasted less than a week and the sleep is still a great deal better; feels more like 'natural' sleep, rather than a 'drugged' one.

It sounds like quetiapine withdrawal. But trazodone can be rather sedating for some. Lack of appetite can occur in some antidepressants. But the BNF says that some tolerance to the side-effects commonly occurs
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
I am finding it very sedating,(no longer in the day tho, thankfully) but in a much different way...is odd, but great, lol.
The loss of appetite is still there and i have already lost some of the seroquel weight, which is lovely to see, i must admit.
Thx for replies.
Have to say has been nice to have such a positive reaction to a new med, just wanted to share that.
Wow, that's weird, I just came on to hopefully get some info about this and I find it on the first page.
Are you still getting those effects though?
I just got put on Trazodone, took them for the first time last night and today I'm completely f*cked, for lack of a better word.
My face is in a lot of pain (particularly at my cheek bones), I've got a throbbing headache, I feel completely disorientated, dazed, dizzy, light-headed, ill, confused, etc.
I know the first while on any new drug is going to be a bit rough, but this feels like something else.
Don't know whether this is normal and to continue it or if these side effects are excessive and to stop it.
(Not trying to hijack your thread btw, just don't see the point in making a new one when my question would be pretty much the same as yours and this is on the front page).

I just was taken off of seroquel and put on trazodone instead! I have the same appetite problem and have lost some seroquel weight already too! I'm glad you are finding the trazodone helpful!
I wanna stay inside all day
I want the world to go away
Just a quick note, I think I found what happened with me above.
I love caffeine, so it's normal for me to have roughly 2 cans of energy drink and maybe a double espresso per day.
I think it must have a bad interaction with trazodone though and it just sent me loopy.
I've not had any caffeine today and I'm actually fine, (besides what might be a burst eardrum =/).
