If I...

write a letter to my therapist explaining everything will she think less of me or that I'm weak? What will she think of me? Have you ever written a letter like this? I've written the letter but I'm already nervous about giving it to her

no, she wouldn't see you as weak. she'd probably see you as brave for having the strength to be honest with her.

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.

The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.

I've written notes like that to my therapist, and she actually thanks me for them. The more you can explain to your therapist, the better she can help you. Some people (me included!) have difficulty expressing themselves speaking. And in therapy it is important to be as honest as possible giving as much information as possible so that you can get the help and support you need.

I often write notes and leave voice mails after hours on her office phone to explain things I was unable to speak in sessions. I'd really recommend giving it to her!

You are not weak. I think it actually shows that you WANT to get better and that you are strong by giving a note. If your therapist did think any less of you for giving her a note (I REALLLLYYYYY doubt that would happen), you need a new therapist.

Take care hun and good luck.

Don't be nervous, your therapist is there to help you. By opening up you allow her to gain greater insight into what is going on for you. With the extra information she may be able to come up with new strategies to help you :)

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
