My Mum keeps breaking into my Dad's house - need advice

My Mum and Dad split up legally earlier on this year. Recently my Dad has changed the locks twice but somehow my Mum keeps breaking in. My friend thinks she might be getting a locksmith to crack the lock, which is illegal. I am pretty sure that my Mum is legally not allowed to enter the house although my Dad hasn't got a court order or anything similar against her

Does anyone have any advice as to what my Dad should do about this?

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

This may sound like a stupid question, but is your dad 100% sure that it is your mum? If so, do you think there could be a reason why she is doing it? Maybe if your dad and her are on relatively good speaking terms he could try and talk to her about why she's doing it? Alternatively, you could speak to the police as i'm pretty sure here in the UK it's classed as breaking and entering. xx

I'd get your dad to talk to her and express his suspicion and if it happens again to get it reported to the police.

We are sure it's my Mum because she left her stuff there and has been cooking food in the kitchen. My Dad and my Mum are not on speaking terms, but I'll see what I can do to get them talking. My Mum has mental health problems though. Police will be the last resort, but I'm prepared to get my Dad to take action. Thank you for your advice

Big hugs Oly.
I hope your Dad can sort it out.

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.

Does your Mum have a CPN or someone you could discuss the concern with? Maybe they can help explain to her that it is not correct behaviour as she is split from your Dad now and to find out what it is she wants from going there.... Does she at the time remember that she no longer lives there, for example?

I think if that doesn't work, it may be that the police will need to be involved, although I understand how that can be a distressing thought for all involved.

Roiben, my Mum doesn't get any help at all for her MH problems because she's in denial (she thinks it's everyone else who has the problem) and won't get help as a result. My Dad is going to install a new burglar alarm system and give me the code to it.

Everyone else, thanks, I appreciate that
