I agree with this plus
I don't think it's weird to worry, but I think it's unhealthy to worry to that degree.
I know it's hard, but try not to think about what they may or may not think about you. They are also probably concerned with what people think of them. It's the spotlight effect type thing...when people think people are focusing on things about them, especially what they consider negative things, when really people aren't even looking or thinking about them.
The more you worry about it, the more you will stress yourself and will probably "awful-ize" things, as my therapist calls it, where you focus on everything that could possibly go wrong.
I agree with everything this person wrote and in my 31 years I have found that 9 times out of 10 my perceptions were wrong or the majority over the top.
This said I understand and wish you the best. Focus on why you are going to school and try and let the school aspect take over! Let us know how your doing so we can support you. When you have the erg come on here we all care so that says something about peoples perceptions as well we all exist in the real world to remember that! There are plenty of us in all aspects of life most just don't share it, but we are proud to have you open up on here it does help!
Sincerely,
Chris
