Envy
I sit along on the beach, my toes dug into the warm sand.
The water gently lapping against the sand, seaguls diving into the depths bellow, looking for food, the suns rays glistening on the horizon, out of everyone's reach.
But my eyes are dragged to the litle girl playing in the wet sand.
I watch as she runs back to her mother, tears streaming down her face, her entire body burnt from the sun.
And i envy her.
Envy the way her mother can clearly see whats wrong as she takes in her daughter, eyes full with concern.
Envy the way that, within minutes, she has applied alovera, the pain will soon fade away.
And i envy how clear her pain is to her and everyone else around, a clear indicator, a reason to cry.
