I religiously watch Holby City :P I'm watching it on iPlayer right now. I'm quite surprised they have another patient in with a self harm problem as they had a girl in who self harmed about a month ago, and particular storylines (especially involving mental health issues) tend to be few and far between.

I'll have a watch though, see how it is.

I'm gonna tap him like a maple tree. I'm gonna search him for some syrups. I'm gonna be having sex with him.

I have watched it I'm not sure what I think about it really, its good awareness and is putting SH more in to people’s homes. I have watched Holby the 2 times they have had Self-harm stories and i think this one was played better the actions where more realistic

I watched it and I thought that it was all right. It wasn't a bad portrayal of mental health as some of them obviously are but I do feel that he didn't really have as much of a story as I would have liked. But I guess it's a pretty acurate portrayal from what I did see of him.

I was disappointed that they made him appear slightly slow/retarded.

I found it kind of bad, to be honest, I think it was the "He has BPD, he should be in a therapeutic community" thing, but in fairness, I guess it reflected some of my hospital experiences.

Sorry, I'm not in a great place right now.

^ There were lots of bits like that that I didn't agree with. But as television goes it was okay.

The Therapeutic Community thing made me chuckle as there are hardly any and even less funding whereas it sounded like the straightforward, easy option.

Flem, I think I agree with you, as compared to some stuff it was really good, I just thought it could have been a bit more, I dunno "sensitive", that's not the right word, but you get what I mean, I hope.

Also, no reason, I'm sorry I don't know your name, but what you say is also true!
