Triggering (SI/Substance abuse) - What is it like...to be "healthy"?

Smoking is unhealthy....so is alcohol abuse/cutting/over dosing on medication...I wonder what it's like to not be silly.
If life's a roller coaster anyway, what drives us to add another to our lives?

It's kind of like living in an amusement park...except that you're left by yourself and you don't know what happens, what you do till it's done.

This is a pretty interesting concept.
I never thought of it from this point of veiw before.

A subjective thing. Escapism; trying to feel alive; connect with a world you feel detached from. For me if I really mull over it I have so many different answers ... Interesting question and I think it's good to ask ourselves why we do the things we do.

I too think control has a lot to do with it. For instance SI may be a form of control to you/trying to keep yourself sane, but from another perspective it's something 'insane'. Now I'm philosophizing

I remember when I used to not SI or drink.......I wish I never started either. I was so high strung when I didn't drink......sadly, it helped me get out of my shell a bit (I'm pretty shy/nervous)...
