Going to the docs

Hi, does anyone know what happens with your medical records if you visit the doctor. I've alawys been too worried about going because sometimes when you apply for a job they do that medical questionaire. Would potential employers find out if your doctor thought you had some sort of mental illness?

Hey obviously if you get diagnosed with a mental illness it goes on your medical records, I don't know if you could ask for it not to be mentioned. Jobs can't just look at your medical records though, I'm about to be a student nurse and they requested information from my GP and myself, but even with my permission, they didn't see my medical records. With something like nursing it is important that they know about your health.
MIND suggests not disclosing mental illnesses, it's sort of up to you really, working in an office, it's questionable if they relaly need to know. It technically can't stop you getting a job x
