Dog names

I'm getting a female teacup yorkie tomorrow and can't bear the blow to my ego if i have to yell 'Kiki' accross the park as a dog smaller than my cat makes its way towards me.
As she's only a few weeks old i don't want to keep calling her that, but my and the hubby can't decided on a name; so i figured you guys would be more than willing to help!
Plus i'll reward you with photos once she gets here :)

(and only if i can work out the poll thing, if not ill edit them into here lol)

Some of those names are probably going to be challenging for a dog to get used to - try going for the simple to pronounce and hear ones for it's sake!

When you yell it does it sound like "penis"? Or does that fancy dooberwhacky above the e change that?

I think we need to see this puppy of yours. Call her something unusual like Apple or Arrow? I dunno.

I adoreeee the name Aoife - go with that!

EDIT: Oh, and I accidently voted for Aine...which is lovely too. But Aoife is the best.

A dogs name should be 1 or 2 syalabuls really.
So I voted for Bel.

Dogs' names ideally should be no longer than two syllables, otherwise it makes it harder for the dog to learn and identify it's own name.

Well said, Buttons. More than two syllables is too many - a dog needs a name that's clear and recognisable to it. A bitch will cope well with, say, Phoebe or Pippa or Poppy, but not with Tinkerbelle. Good luck, but keep it short.

Yup anything longer and i'd shorten it! Eg andromeda would be Andy
The person i was going to get her from decided not to go with it so now i'm waiting on a shih-tzu/terrier cross whom i will hopefully be meeting tonight, gotta make sure she's a nice dog! lol

Edit; Pic ->

bahaha
actually, no, it doesn't, it's Venus in Portuguese, so the "e" sounds different and the dooberwhacky thingy is just to indicate the emphasis on that part of the word :)
It sounds more like Venice

In case you're curious you can try this site
http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tt...le.php?sitepal
just type it in the box and pick portuguese and some name with a brazilian voice :P
