dissociation + sensation on top of head

Does anyone else get this when they dissociate? A feeling of your mind being blanked, and a kind of like opening/fizzy sensation on the very top of your head. Like it's opening up and something's escaping.
It's disconcerting.

The cranial osteopath I saw for a while placed it as my psyche returning to the pre-birth state. Maybe for protection? But I don't know.

I don't know if what happens to me is dissociating, but when I physically go numb and things.. change for lack of a better description, I get a sensation like that.

Thanks.

It's like my head's physically zoning out - like something in me is leaving my body.
That's the part of the skull that is last to close in a newborn. Mine could be vulnerable due to prematurity, and the whole forceps thing.
It eased off a bit after eating, but it's happening again now.

I get this ALL the time. I feel like the top of me head is fizzing, or bubbling like water or spinning right off. It's confusing.

Yes. Like that.
Like I have to shake my head to try and shake it off, but it doesn't work.
I have found in the past that massaging my head can help, but it's rather unwieldy to do!

I thankfully don't get it so much now - I used to get it all the time, and know how debilitating it can be. Now I get it 'only' when something overwhelms some part of me and I compartmentalise in some way to cope. Maybe.

I used to get it when I dissociated...it was like a kind of cold/fizzy sensation on my head. A bit like sherbet :S

No one's ever given me a biological explanation for it!

Glad I'm not the only one...

I don't get it every time I dissociate. Just some times. I likely need to pinpoint what singles out those times. Hmm...
