signature sizes.

Anyone else noticing some really big signature pics/signatures around again?

I know there was a switch in servers and this messed up the automated "this picture is too big resize it yo!" message people got.

Is anyone finding sig sizes a problem at the moment?

I was so worried about mine being too large, but it seems alright compared to others here, so...

But these are flowers that fly and all but sing:
And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire.

So many people on this thread have large sig pics!

I no longer have dial up, so it's not a problem in that respect. But I do find it distracting from the content of the posts.

Do you feel that pictures themselves in sigs are not a good idea? This isn't meant as a jab as you, I'm just interested

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.

I always thoughts av.s were for pictures, sigs. were for words.
But I know I'm kinda old fashioned!

However... It's like when you display a piece of art/children's writing. [Ex teacher in me, ha!] The frame/surround should complement the work, not distract from it.
But I don't want this to sound dictatorial, just a comment/belief. :)

Wasn't it a maximum of 300 by 500 for the signature? Or is that a different website and I've just completely made that up? Either way, there are some ridiculously large signatures out there!

This is why I have signatures permanently blocked, it's distracting from the content of posts.

(oh and I'm a dirt hypocrite who has a signature regardless... )

That's quite a good point actually, particularly from a teacher's point of view
