Triggering (SI/ED) - falling apart inside
i am really scared about this weekend, cause i am scared i am going to self harm on my leg, cause my other leg still hasn't got better from last time and thats too weeks ago. i am trying to fight it,, i bought some dvds to watch to try and distract myself from it but i still feel like its going to happen i'm scared.
i might try and go to day centre today that could help a bit.
i am really struggling with my eating again, and doing stuff i should not be doing and restricting and exercising. i am just generally not coping at the moment and i dont no how to make that better, i wish i could but i am in so much pain inside.
my friend keeps upsetting me too, and i just generally don't no how to cope with all this.

Hello,
It sounds like even though you don't know quite how to get through this, you have some good plans such as dvds and visiting day centre, and that is a really, really good plan! I congratulate you for thinking ahead and getting the dvds and planning for the weekend, that's a great start.
Do you have any support at the moment? If things are generally overwhelming for you, it might be helpful for you to speak to your doctor or counsellor so you can learn some more skills to help you deal and get through this.
Don't give up, you can do it :)

Hey, *offers hugs* Well done for trying so hard to find things to do to keep busy and help yourself. Sounds like going to the day centre would be a good plan, to keep busy and get out of the house and not be alone? I know it's incredibly hard to keep yourself from self-harming but maybe just keep trying to find distractions that might help.
Do you want to talk about what's going on with your friend? Do you think it would help to talk to them and let them know they're upsetting you? Or maybe just give yourself some space from this person for a while?
It's great that you have professional help set up; are you finding it useful? Try to be honest about how much you're struggling. And remember that in addition, or in-between appointments when you're struggling, you can always call a helpline or something, and of course RYL is always here. Do you have friends or family that are supportive?
Take care of yourself, you are doing so well. Please feel free to PM me anytime if you need someone.
