applied for a job

a few weeks ago i applied for a job with the local (as in 2 blocks away) high school. the job would be as a teacher's aid in the emotionally handicapped and developmentally disabled class. i'm grossly over-qualified but i don't care. the pay would be low, but i don't care. it seems it would be so perfect. close enough to walk, great hours, weekends and holidays off to spend with my own little one and significant other, and most important i would be back to working with troubled teens which is my professional passion.

i know they haven't even pulled the applications yet, but i am on pins and needles. i want this so badly that not even getting to talk to them is driving me crazy.

And who cares if you're overqualified...you've got to love what you do :) Work is like a second home (or at least, you spend more time at work than you do at home lol) so you should go for something you want to do, not something you should do.

yes. and it would further my long term goal of working with juvenile offenders and/or juvenile counseling. the more i can work with teens, the better it will look when the time comes.

Good luck, I hope you get it. Don't worry about being overqualified, you need to enjoy/like your job when you spend so many hours there.
