The first step for everyone using Cotswold House services is to have an assessment with one of two members of the team. This means finding out about you and the problems you want help with. You will be sent a questionnaire to complete before your assessment.
At the end of your assessment appointment we will discuss all of the options for treatment with you and decide together on the best way forward.
I think you know deep down this is what you need. If you go in with a negative attitude it wont benefit you as much as it could. Think of all the things you can look forward to after you have taken this vital step to recovery. This is a time for celebration, and while it might not feel like it you can do this and become a stronger happier person.
Just go in and be honest, you'll be fine. *hugs*
We are so happy for you, hun!
I know you're so much stronger than you think you are and you can beat this eating disorder that's wasting you away.

I know it's a shock & it feels unreal, but it'll feel more real as time goes by.
Your ED can go to hell.
You're gonna get through this, you're gonna beat this & you're gonna be okay baby girl.

I'll be able to hold you in 2 weeks baby girl, & I have no doubts that you'll be admitted, you're extremely ill, you will get this funding to be admitted & you will get help.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain
This is great news! I'm so pleased.
Tell them everything, be honest and let them know just how hard things are for you right now.
When is it for?
I want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom

Cotswold house is just outside of Oxford [Oxfordshire] in a place called Warneford.
There is another Cotswold house but thats in Marlborough [Wiltshire].
Because it is so far away they usually do the clinical assessment via the medical notes from the professionals working with you now which means you may not need to travel just for the assessment.
After the assessment you could have to wait a little while till a bed comes up but usually they have a good idea of when it will be before they offer the assessment to you.
I would imagine your CPN would know all this, so surely if you call whoever told you you were having an assessment for this unit they should tell you when you will hear back with a result.
Yeah,, I know She said to me that lots of people were away & the funding people wouldn't get back to her,, so she'll know more when my GP is back & the Bulimia Clinic psych is back too. Hopefully, I'll know more on Friday. Gah.
Hun, Cotswold House is with my CMHT, they're being involved next term when I'm back at uni and seeing the psychology people. They are REALLY good. It's really good to hear that you are getting the support you need.
