Triggering (SI/Substance abuse) - Turned to alchol

It's just to much. I've turned onto drinking alchol almost everyday, and i feel worse for it. I just can't seem to find any other way to cope

I know how you feel. I haven't turned to drink but I've turned to drugs... Problem is I'm not entirely sure what I'm coping with.
*hugs*

It's all about switching to a more socially aceptable addiction. When you look at it really, those who concore their alcohol addiction through AA are really just switching to an addiction to God. My drug addiction came from switching my addiction to self harm.

If it helps try to find something you enjoy and is hopefully healthier to switch your addiction to. Perhaps it could be writing, reading, drawing, crafting, video games, movies, ect...

Hopefully this is at least slightly helpful.

I know how you feel & how you think it will help for a short while, but only makes you feel worse. Have you told anyone about it? You know you can't go on like this angel...

I think it might be worth exploring what it is you are using alcohol to cope with? For example is it particular thoughts and feelings, memories, depression etc. Once you have pin pointed the triggers for you alcohol use it will probably be easier to find ways to replace the coping mechanism with a healthier one.
