Sometimes I'll just sit in my room crying, thinking about the fact that I have depression, and probably a few other undiagnosed mental health problems, and I just feel like it will be impossible for anyone to ever love me. I feel like my mental health issues are almost like contagious diseases; no one would ever want to be close to me because of them. Sometimes I honestly feel insane, and no one loves an insane person. So I just want to know, am I the only one who feels this way? It's such a difficult feeling to feel as if you'll never be loved because of your mental health. I want to know I'm not alone.
Hey there.
I've felt the same way before. Sometimes I can't believe that anyone would actually take me seriously, and see me as someone worthy of being loved. So you're not alone in feeling this.
The thing is, though, your illness doesn't define you. It's part of you, but it doesn't have to be a main part.
You're not insane, not by a long short. Having a mental illness doesn't make you crazy or insane or unloveable. It just means your mental health isn't as good as it could be, but that's not something to blame yourself for. It's not your fault at all. Sure, you'll meet some people who treat you differently because you have depression, but for every one of those, you also get understanding, compassionate people who know that having depression doesn't define you, and they'll be able to see past that to the wonderful person you are.
And besides, just like physical health, there are ways to improve your mental health. Having a mental health issue doesn't mean your life is ruined. It just means you have to find ways to overcome that obstacle, which I'm sure you'll do.
Take care.
oh non-believer, please believe me.
is there honestly nothing in this world
that keeps you living & breathing?
you're a ghost in your own
goddamn city.
Yes.
Although not so much directly because of my mental illness diagnosis, but because of my past, my attachment difficulties, my emotional vulnerability.
It's such a lonely place, I know.
You're not alone in this feeling hun, I feel the same.
When you are feeling so low it is hard to see that there will be any positives in life or relationships, but that isn't to say that one day you won't find happiness with someone, you never know what life is going to throw at you!

You're not alone.
I have exactly the same problem as you: I have depression, and maybe other undiagnosed mental problems and it does seem like no one will ever love me because when I've told other people about these problems they just leave because they can't handle it... And then I realise that they are not worth it.
Thats how I feel too, who would ever want me, I finally get a bf and he is so insecure I hardly see him and then find out he was sleeping with his ex ugh
I had a 1 night stand a few weeks ago, no protection coz you know what, I want a baby, coz if I get pregnant, then I wont be alone no more :S
*hugs*
Something has changed within me, something is not the same, I'm through with playing by the rules of someone elses game. Too late for second guessing, too late to go back to sleep, its time to trust my instincts, close my eyes and leap....
Somethings I cannot change, but till I try I'll never know...

I was lying with every nerve and fiber and everything I'd ever done...I wanted him to find no good in me, and he didn't. There is none.”
