Wound Care Question - Unhealthy wounds?

Am I okay to post my question here, or should I PM someone? I've never used this section before.

I've a couple of wounds that I've not taken good care of and just want to check it is okay.

Its all or nothing
And nothings all I ever get
Every time I turn it on
I burn it up and burn it out

You can certainly post questions here, as long as they appropriately labelled and within RYL's rules (ie no amounts or 'methods', no pictures etc). PMing is most usually used if people feel the need to share the above.
So ask away (if appropriate)!

There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: 'This glass is half full'. And then there are those who say: 'This glass is half empty'.
The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: 'What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

Hey! Welcome there

Um, check the links above. One is the wound care guide, which gives u instructions and what to do, if you have a wound. Very useful!

The other one is related to infected wounds and what to do if u have an infected wound but also the signs and symptoms if u might have an infected wound.

Also, if u have any more issues, u can always PM the First aid advisors. Currently the 2 first aid advisors are Animad and Bitter_angel.

Have you managed to sort out your problems? Feel free to write stuff down in here so long as you don't make it graphic/ say number of cuts/ size/ exact location (saying arm or whatever is fine but saying 2cm down from x and just above y on the inner side of z isn't)/ mention the tool you used. Really it's all in the rules what you can say/ do on here.

I'd also recommend if you have a question then to maybe look at the articles first; there's one on Cuts, the Wound Care Guide, a Cuts FAQ and also a "new" guide to normal healing which is found in a sticky underneath a list of links to the articles.

If you're still unsure feel free to either ask here or PM myself and/or Bitter_Angel (if you PM both of us let us know (it's often easier if you have us both in the "To" box and then we know) so you don't get 2 almost identical posts which may confuse you and use up both more of your own time as well as ours.
