i think i might be bipolar

I think i might be bipolar. I went through a very vague list of symptoms and i have about 85%ish of the ones i found. from severe mania to suicidal depression. Fast mood changes and high irritability all the time (i think that might just be because im a jerk though). I was just wondering if there was somewhere i could find a more detailed list of the symptoms of it. cause if thats whats got me so depressed these past few days then i need to get it dealt with because according to the webpage i read a undiagnosed Bipolar disorder can be very very very VERY bad. So if anyone has any other info on what the symptoms would be i would be very greatfull. Oh and i am planning on bringing this up with my psychiatrist at my next appointment but i wanna know if its a possibility that i could be bipolar before my next appointment so that i know what questions he is going to ask (get nervous having to answer questions on the spot if i dont have some sort of background on the subject...especially when my psychiatrist asks me about different disorders he thinks i have)..thanks in advance and also here have a few cheese burgers

You aren't bipolar.
You are a human being.
The question is whether you have bipolar disorder.

It is SO important not to try and diagnose yourself, whether using information from the web or elsewhere.

If you think you have symptoms that fit into any diagnosis, you need to see a Dr. No one here can tell you that you have bipolar and no one should.
If you have concerns, see your Dr.

like i said im am going to my doctor im not trying to diagnose myself just want to have time to think about what the symptoms are and if they really apply to me. when my doctor puts me on the spot i get nervous and totally forget to tell him stuff just cause my mind starts racing trying to think if what he is asking me applies especally with symptoms that are kinda docile. i usually keep a notebook by my bed so i can write what i know im going to need to discuss with my dr and psych when i see them. and this is deffinately one of them

You dont need us to tell you the symptoms of bipolar then... just write down what you are experiencing and if you are bipolar then you will have the right symptoms.

It can be quite dangerous when people self diagnose because you can make the symptoms fit to match you. Sorry if this sounds rude

go to your doctors. I thought I was, I went spoke to my counsellor about it, she told me to go to my doctors, my doctor thinks I am, and I'm getting a mental health referral through. hopefully a step in the right direction. good luck.

Say the symptoms you're having regardless of where they fit. You may not even get a diagnosis. But the point is to get help yeh, not to get a label?

I dont mean to sound patronising but it seems like everyone I know has thought they had bipolar. Im not saying your symptoms are any less "important" but its not necessary in mental health to fix in a box. x

I hope for nothing. I fear nothing. I am free.

You are not an illness.

On a long enough time line, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.
