camping -what have I forgot?

soo. I'm going camping this yr. properly.

• Tent. (obviously)
  air beds (fussy people won't go without em)

  extension. (gonna be electrical power points)

  mini fridge.
  camping stove & gas.
  (maybe a heater)

  cups.

aside from the obvious, what have I forgot?

when we go on holiday we usually dont stay around the camp/wherever we're staying. dads got a full first aid kit/bug spray in his car. dad has a pump thing for his car which he uses on air beds, got fold up chairs.

Pfft, tent, gas burner, roll mat, torch and sleeping bag are all you need (and I consider a roll mat a luxury)!
Is it really as fun or real camping if you might aswell be in a hotel?

Quilts are really really impractical and you can't use them for tent Olympics or being a caterpillar. I'd advice investing in a decent sleeping bag.

Glow sticks! Necessity? No. Totally awesome and every camper should have them on hand just in case? Yes. Totally yes. And besides if somehow the flashlight goes all crazy you have pretty lights to lead the way.

In my experience, any site that has electric hookups is missing the point of camping. It's #not# about creature comforts, it's about peace and tranquility. You don't get that with TVs and fridges. Sorry.

wild camping i amazing! on a mountain in france where you can watcht eh sun set turning everything orange and red and then in the morning everything has this strange blueish colour and there is fog and wow.. now THAT is camping lol but im guessing your going to a camping sight ^.^ also fantastic, anything that involves a tent, you can count me in! dont forget food! good shoes, if it rain your feet will get soaked and thats never fun a waterproof coat is also a good idea, with a hood, saves carrying an umbrella around with you.

Batteries for a torch! cant forget the batteries.
are you allowed to hae fires? if so id take marshmallows hee hee
if there are showers then obviously your gunna need a towel and shampoo and hings like thatad any other stuff like hairbrushes and whatever. dont forget clothes lol and extra pairs of socks! i always take extra socks, there useful ^.^
dont forget a first aid kit, always needed one of thos, wether for bug bites or blisters or someting.

i can understand why you want the matress. when i was walking last year through the mountains we stoppedin a big town to buy some matresses, the travveler kind that fold up really small and inflate on there own.. after sleeping on the floor for a month with stones digging in your back its heaven to seep on a matress =]

dont forget a pot to put the food in to cook and maybe a real knife is in order rather than something plastic, they dont cut so well.
basically if your going in a car and your going to have electric and things there isnt really a limit on what you can take and if you forget something im sure that there is a shop nearby that will sell everything you need anyways. its not like it will be a life or death situation if you dont have something =]

For cooking, you can get olive oil in a spray bottle now, its easier and less messy.
We usually bring a few of the cheap disposable barbecues too. Make sure you've got a good lighter or there will be lots of FRUSTRATION lol.
Bring some strong tape in case something bad happens and you need to stick your tent together!
