coping after hospital
I have just been in hospital for eight months. Now i'm leaving and am absolutely terrified of being at home and having to find things to do, dealing with day to day stuff terrifies me. my anxiety levels are so high right now i dont know what to do.

i can relate but having been there the idea of it is much worse than than actually being there. it takes a while but after a few days you might find yourself getting back into the swing of it.

I just want to say I'm in the same position as you, been in hosp for over a year and getting out in May, absolutely terrified.
I hope things get easier for you.
PM me if you ever wanna talk.

See I cannot feel this, not matter how you try and in the real world, there's no goodbyes.
Stare at the hands, you know you want to ;).

I was the opposite, when I came out of hospital after being in for two years I was so excited to be home. This lasted a couple of days and then I found I couldn't cope. But I just wanted to let you know that the more time goes by, the easier it gets. I used support from my cmht and family. My friend was the same also, she was very depressed when she came out of hospital to live in a flat alone, but she soon settled down and she's quite happy now.
Ask people to help you structure your days and have something planned to do, even if its just a walk in the park or a bit of shopping, it really helps x

Try and stay as occupied as possible. Make a routine for yourself and make sure that you have support around you. Take care.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.
Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.
