eye make up tips needed!

How can I accentuate green eyes [which have a golden tint in them] without looking like I've a tonne of make up on? i.e. preferably without eye shadow. I already have thick long dark eyelashes, so mascara isn't really necessary.

Thanks!

I don't have great knowledge of make-up, not sure what eye make-up you can get without mascara, eye shadow and eyeliner (perhaps glitter?) but I found this on a website:

Favorite eye shadow shades for green eyes are the earthier tones of each color:
Gold, Bronze, Copper
Brown, Chocolate
Flesh tones, Peach, Beige, Champagnes
Plum, Mauve, Purple, Violet, Pink
Deep and Mossy Green shades

The website briefly suggested you could accentuate green eyes by wearing certain clothing colours (it didn't specify which, but I imagine it'd be similar to the colours they suggest for eyeshadow). Maybe it'd be worth wearing pretty scarves and hair accessories suited to your eye colour?

Not sure if this applies for colour of eyes, but it might be worth remembering that green's complementary colour is red. Maybe that's why people with green eyes often have red hair! So maybe it'd be good to wear a red-shade scarf or hair bow/Alice band. That's just my artsy guess, though!

you can wear eyeshadow just up to the crease, so on the lid only, so it gives colour without looking like you have too much on. anything more than that looks silly on me. A golden brown colour would be nice and you can run it under your eye instead of eyeliner - use a clean cottonbud each time to make it a clean line, also to eliminate eye infections.

you can get golden or brown mascara and even just curling your lashes would accentuate your eyes more.

You can get different colour eye liners can't you? I have loads of different colours (most of them liquid though)

I think the 'browns' and 'bronzes' would look really natural like maybe people won't notice the make up, just the colour of your eyes. You can get eye drops that make your eyes sparkle aswell..cosmetic eyedrops, I think you can get them from Asda (and probably boots and things too) but I don't remember what it's called.

yeah eyelines in different colour would be nice, you can get eyeshadow pencils which if you stick in the fridge before sharpening give a nice point and you can use for eyeliner then.

What about a bronze or gold shimmery shadow? Usually, they can be layered to be subtle or dramatic.

One other thing I would suggest a sheer shimmer cream that's close to your skin tone. I am very pale and use it day to day, as it looks very natural. Mine is a white/pearly shimmer, and I just put it on the innner corners of my eyes, on my brow bones, and on my cheek bones. The idea is that it catches the light and makes you look more alert, awake, and empasizes your bone structure.

Purple mascara, or as others mentioned purple eyeliner or eyeshadow. Also wearing the color purple does a lot too!
