New Feature - Similar Threads
Hi Everyone,
This is just to let you know of a new feature added to the Forum and Community Questions board, which we have been trialing on the Mod forums with success, and which should prove really handy for those having issues with RYL.
When you go to create a new thread in this forum, and you type in the title of the new thread, RYL will check for similar threads that already exist which might have already answered your question, or which it thinks could be of interest.
So, for example if you were having trouble with posting images on RYL, you would probably post a thread entitled something like "How do I Post images on RYL?". When you do that, and you click into the post box to write your thread, RYL will search all similar threads and show you a list of the most relevant. In the above example you would find threads where the question had already been answered, so you would instantly find what you needed, get the solution and not need to create a duplicate thread.
So, it is all up and working now, and you can test it out without actually submitting a thread of course by going to new thread and typing something in the title (then click somewhere else, like the post box)
Hope it comes in useful! I am sure as time goes on and more questions get answered all the time, the number of repeat threads asking the same questions over and over will be vastly reduced - and that of course also means everyone find their answers quicker too, which has to be a good thing :)
Let me know what you think!
