Hi everyone!
I've had some wonderful responses from some of you on this website, and I wanted to thank those who have already participated in my research. Thank you!!
Just wanted to post my original message one more time (see below), so I could give people an opportunity to do the study, if some of you haven't done so already. I will be closing the web survey shortly- perhaps in a week or so. Any extra responses would be greatly appreciated!!!
Wishing you all a healthy 2010, and thanks again for your support.
Warm wishes,
Yvette
Hi there,
I am someone who is passionate about improving the lives of people with BPD, and thus I'm trying to do some research into how people with BPD experience time alone. This research is unpaid (part of my doctorate in clinical psychology), but something I feel is very important. I would greatly appreciate your help because I need people diagnosed with borderline personality disorder to fill in my questionnaires. Oh and BTW the board moderators have given me permission to post this here!
INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN RESEARCH
You are invited to participate in an online survey
from psychology researchers at University of
Wollongong, Australia. Yvette Vardy and Dr Brin
Grenyer are interested in how people experience time
alone. Some people find spending time alone
difficult, yet others really crave being alone. We
would love to know about your experience of time
alone. The survey is for people aged 18 years and
above who have been diagnosed with borderline
personality disorder, and also for people without
this diagnosis who have no current mental health
issue. It involves doing some short questionnaires
on personality and the experience of time alone,
which take about 20 minutes. To find out more,

If you have trouble with the link, try copying and pasting it into your browser.
If you have any questions about this research, please do not hesitate to contact me on

Thank you so much for your time!
Kind regards,
Yvette Vardy, BA Hons (Psych), M Clin Psych, DPsych candidate.
