Emergency Server Maintenance Tonight [25.12.09, 01:30 - 02:30hrs (GMT)] *COMPLETED*
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the very short notice but we have been experiencing some serious database connection problems over the past few hours. This means that I have had to schedule emergency maintenance work late tonight between the above mentioned times in order to ensure the continued availability of RYL. During this period, RYL and related systems including chat will be periodically unavailable whilst the work is conducted.
Very many thanks and I will update this thread as soon as I have further information.

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the kind words and believe you me, I *really* wish none of this had been necessary in the early hours of Christmas morning!
Just to let you know that the work has now been completed and I am hoping very much that this will now resolve our intermittent database connection issues. Since the problem manifests itself highly intermittently, there are no guarantees however - I'll have to keep an eye on our systems over the next few days to see how it all goes.
