Seroquel and Seroqual XR

I got meds from the chemist and I usually get Seroquel ,the nomal ones 100mgs,but these ones look smaller ,actually they ARE smaller and are in a shinier pack.
They dont have Xr written on them. Can anyone help me ,have Seroquel changed thier packaging ? cos the Xr long release ,dont agree with me and I have been feeling weird .
Could someone describe the difference between the packaging of the two cos Ill have to get the other ones if I have the wrong ones ,b4 Christmas ,or Ill be feeling weird .

They would have XR on the packet, and probably on the tablet as well. Also, I have both and the XR are a lot bigger than the normal ones. On mine the XR is on the tablet and on the box, and on the blister packet.

Also on my XR the blister packet is gold, and on the normal one seems to be white. x

Sometimes that happens, it doesnt mean there is anything wrong with the drug, just that they have it in a different packaging. Ive had that loads of times.

And as said if it where xr it would have it written on it.

You aren't stupid. I think it's a sensible idea to check it out, especially as you've had a negative experience. I would be the same! x

this happened to me...my psych changed it to the seroquel XL which is the modified verson..the slow release...i've been having to take it at 6:30pm to be able to wake up the next mornign at a normal time...i got given the xl about 2 weeks ago..i started off taking them when i go to bed (which is what i did with the normal version) and i didnt wake up till gone 1pm the following day. i don't like this slow release version tbh..

seroquel...wit hthe purple packaging is the normal version and the one with the shiney pink packaging is the slow release version...i suggest you take it quite early..
