hallucinations??

hey.. ive not been here on a wile but something weird happened today and this was the 1st place i thought of to come and seek advice i guess..

well today at uni i was in the middle of a test and all of a sudden i was lookin at myself from outside my body.. like i could see myself and another me doing the test.. if that makes any sense at all??

and i keep seeing like smoke or fog or something.. and at 1st i just thought it was smoke from a fag but then i started seeing it when i was inside and not smoking and just reading or something..

do these count as hallucinations?? or am i just being weird and is it like a one off?? please comment cuz im starting to think im losing it.. again

It could just be your mind playing tricks on you, but if it is really worry you maybe you can speak to a counsellor about it if you see one.

I'd give it about a week, see if it happens again.
If your under alot of stress ( you mentioned a test) your body could just be reacting to that.
If it continues i'd get some help x

I have never had an out of body experience (which is what your experience sounds like) but many people have with no associated disorder. Some mystics in the major religions even considered it a way people are given to know that their mind/consciousness is not their body. Many patients in hospitals have had these experiences. I don't think its wise to seek these experiences out (I had an art history prof who left his body and was flying over jungles - and couldn't get back in his body with any ease. He was terrified of having another such experience) but I have come to consider them common to many people.

I'd read up on dissociation [depersonalisation and derealisation] rather than hallucinations. That very much covers the 'out of body' feeling. Also, my eyes often go blurry and foggy when I dissociate.

This may or may not be a one off. It can happen as a result or excess stress and/or tiredness.
