may be my comp...

For some reason, I cannot access my PM's or control panel..and when I send a PM, it then goes to a gray screen..and does nothing!
I just uninstalled McAfee. **** program, sick of it! And reinstalled Telus (my provider) security system.
Don't know if that is the issue?
Any ideas?

This looks like andy's area...

Then wear the gold hat, if that will move her;
If you can bounce high, bounce for her too,
Till she cry "Lover, gold-hatted, high-bouncing lover,
I must have you!"

Sounds a bit like a firewall issue perhaps. Maybe try temporally turning off your firewall and see if it fixes it. If it does then you will need to play with the firewall settings to allow ryl through.

Will check that, thanks Kim.
However, after 2 hours, it *appears* everything (security wise) has been installed and/or upgraded.
Hope that will help

Not sure what else to try...i made google chrome the default browser...same issues; unable to access PM's (click on it, from any form, and it goes to a blank screen), can't access chat, and on the home page I have all the top headings (shop, chat, etc), but once in forums, it all disappears.
Oh and still majority of Av's are simply solid red.
Any ideas???

You're unable to open Web pages.
Please note: In addition to the current system requirements, TELUS security services will be compatible with the new Windows 7 on November 10, 2009.

Step 1: Check for another security program
Although it may seem as though having multiple anti-virus or security programs on your PC would improve protection, the presence of two different security programs may cause conflicts. These conflicts may jeopardize the protective capabilities of the software and could considerably slow down your computer.
Make sure to uninstall any other security software prior to installing TELUS Internet Security software.
Step 2: Check Ad Manager preferences
Ensure Ad Manager is not configured to block the entire domain (ie: mytelus.com).

Open TELUS security services.
Click Pop-Up Blocker from the left menu.
Ensure Enable Ad Manager is selected.
Click Ad Manager Preferences.
Search for the entry by domain (ie: mytelus.com).
Select the entry and click Delete.
If you're still unable to open the Web page try disabling the Ad Manager completely.
Step 3: Check Keyword Alert preferences
Ensure Keyword Alert is not set to block your Web page.

Open TELUS security services.
Click Keyword Alert from the left menu.
Ensure Enable Keyword Alert is selected.
Click Preferences.
Check the Keyword List for any words which may be stopping you from viewing the Web page.
Select the word and click Delete.
If you're still unable to open the Web page try disabling the Keyword Alert completely.
Step 4: Check Parental Control preferences
If a Site Restricted warning pops up when you're trying to access a particular Web site this means it has been blocked by TELUS Parental Control. To allow access to this site:

Open TELUS security services.
Click Parental Control from the left menu.
Check to see if Enable Parental Control is selected.
Click Preferences.
Check to see if the Web site you're trying to access is listed in "Other Web sites I want to block".
Select the domain (ie: mytelus.com) and click Delete.
If you're still unable to open the Web page try disabling Parental Control completely.
Step 5: Check Firewall rules
Ensure TELUS Personal Firewall hasn't been set to block Web pages.

Open TELUS security services.
Click Firewall from the left menu.
Ensure Enable Firewall is selected.
Click Internet Access Rules.
Look for your Web browser, such as Internet Explorer, and verify if the Action is set to Allow or Block.
If your Web browser is set to Block, select it from the list and click Customize Rules...
Select Allow from Rule Actions.
Click OK.
If you're still unable to open the Web page try disabling the Firewall completely.
Step 6: Shutdown TELUS Internet Security Software
If you're still unable to view any Web pages try shutting TELUS Security off completely.

Open TELUS security services.
Click the TELUS security services services menu.
Choose Shutdown

thx Kim.
Tried all that already.
The only way it works (allows access to everything), is if i shut it down completely...so I have no security services.
Wonderful.

What about taking out some free security services instead?
I assume your on windows, there is a firewall built in and then you can use something such as avg for anti virus and spybot for spyware.
