we are the fallen
we are the wounded
we are the shattered
we are the unheard
we are the brave
we are the strong we are Survivors. and..... we are the future
we fallen can still rise by the wings of hope that lifts us~
oh now thats not right of your teacher at all, that's some sort of blackmail surely.
Is there another teacher or a head teacher you can talk to?
If not then your parents.
Your teacher has no right to keep a poem of yours and she has no reason to make a copy of it.
Telling you she wants to make a copy of it untill she decides what she wants to do with it is very wrong of her and she is not acting like a very responsible teacher.
So please tell someone at the school as soon as possible so they can help you with this situation.
I was indeed born and then broken. But I am living proof that broken can recover a life worth living.
That sounds really dictatorial behaviour. It's.. possible that this teacher has a hard time dealing with the darker side of life, and exacts this kind of control to 'protect' herself from facing it. For whatever reason. She clearly has personal issues that she needs to address herself.
As to what you do. Is there a pastoral head of year or someone you trust that you can speak with about this? It is not the right kind of way to treat someone who's feeling vulnerable - if she has concerns about you, she should approach this openly with you in confidence.

Oh no hunni ):
I think you should have a talk with your teacher, as said. Ask her why she did that. Maybe you could say something like you were 'expressing' yourself by getting things out by writing the poem? That it's not a bad thing? Hope you're alright. xo.
However, when a child is at risk, there are folks who are something called 'mandated reporters'. That means that if they find out that a child (defined by law, that is) is at risk of harm, they are legally required to report it. And by 'at risk of harm', that means either from themselves or from someone else. For instance, if your teacher found out that you were being abused at home, she'd HAVE to report it. No choice. If she didn't and someone found out, she could very likely lose her job. If your teacher decides that you are 'at risk' because you're cutting yourself, she HAS to report it.
She may be keeping the copy of the other poem to try to decide if you are hurting yourself. She may turn the copy over to something like a guidance counselor who will have you talk to them.
I know this is really upsetting for you that you don't know what she's going to do with it. But you're only going to find out if you go talk to your teacher about it, or if something does come of this. If you do talk to your teacher, that may be the better course of action because you'll have the chance to explain yourself.
I dont think its out of order a such..depending on what she is thinking....I know I had a similar thing happen to me..and it was all abut safe guarding and teachers have a duty of care x
