laziness?
I didn't go to work or to dance class today, I spent most of the day in bed, not even sleeping but just lying there. I come up with all sorts of excuses for myself, the new meds, that I need to rest, but they're just excuses. I could have gone & didn't...
I have so little energy or motivation, is that laziness? :(

I don't know if its laziness exactly... sounds kinda like you're just not able to motivate yourself right now... do you know why?

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.
The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.
PM me anytime, I love getting messages :)

Its not laziness.
I think the difference between laziness and unmotivated/lack of energy is lazy people generally can be bothered to do stuff they get pleasure from but not bothered to do assignments or housework. I think its selective.
Can you try setting taking one day at a time, and trying to go to work? Its best to keep your mind occupied.
Also, feeling really tired can be a underlying medical condition like anemia

You sound like me when I'm depressed - a lack of motivation to do anything except lie in bed. Have you been to see anyone about how you're feeling? I find that depression causes lack of motivation, so I stay in bed and avoid stuff, and then it's a vicious circle because it becomes even harder to do things then.

It sounds like you're feeling depressed, or very low. It's not laziness.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
you once called your brain a hard drive, well say hello to the virus.

Thanks everyone
I've started some new ADs and they always wipe me out (worse than the depression they're supposed to 'fix')
One day at a time
Went to work today, by the end of the morning I could cheerfully have blown the whole place up & everyone in it, but quite a nice afternoon so I'm feeling calmer. Off to see the psychologist now, which could go either way...
but thanks your answers, I feel less alone with it
