No, not stupid at all. It's natural to miss something that was a big part of your life and was a way of coping with things going on. You know in your heart that its not a good thing to miss though, and thats the thing to conecentrate on. You're doing so well. What helped you stop last time? Maybe it will help you get through the urges this time. xx

Your not stupid! It's normal to miss it. *hugs* Hope you feel better, and keep yourself distracted.

I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight."

I've been a year. I miss it. I long for it. That feeling rarely goes away permanently. But it will go away after for a bit after distracting yourself, and that's what you need to do.
|

But in the end, the most important thing to accept is that no matter how alone you feel, how painful it may be, with the help of those around you, you'll get through this too.

I often miss it too (and then relapse). I think it's great you've gone a year! but in answer to your question, it's not weird or anything. There's bound to be stuff about SI you liked, for example the control, even if it is a bad coping mechanism.

It's not stupid to miss it. In a way, it had an emotional connection to you. It was something you could control in your life and maybe you couldn't control other things so you're bound to miss it. It's also very hard to replace SI with another coping technique as at the time, it seems the only way to cope.
Well done on getting so far though, it really is an amazing achievement! :)
Hope all goes well...
What made you stop in the first place? As has been said before, it might help you this time around.
Best of luck :)

Of course you miss it, it is no different to smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, it's an addiction.
You will get there in the end.
I wish you the best of luck.

thank you, Lily, for saving mummy's life*. You are my one and only, you can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight, and you'll be alright.
