work/emails/need perspective asap please

I was allowed this week off as annual leave at short notice, while I adjust to the lower dose of my medication. I've not been well, but am not technically ill, if that makes sense! The leave was properly approved and everything.

Anyway, I emailed my managers [at 2 of the 3 locations I work at] early yesterday afternoon to update how I am and to check in - as I have to go into work tomorrow, because of [lack of] staffing levels. I need them to know that I'm still somewhat fragile etc.

But neither of them have responded.
And now I'm paranoid/worried that I've done something wrong and am in trouble, and they're not telling me.
I want to email the manager I feel most comfortable with with sensitive stuff, just to ask her, and to put my mind at rest. But I don't want to tangle them up in my insecurity-paranoia spiral if everything is ok.

What can I say if I email?
What would you suggest I do?

If I was emailing about this, I'd probably go with a little white lie - say that some of my emails hadn't been received by other people, and could they please confirm that they'd got the email I sent.

^ agree. But probably they've just been busy, or there's been IT problems or something. Could you phone the sympathetic one to confirm about tomorrow?

Thank you. :)

I emailed as you suggested. She's not replied. Maybe she's not in, but when she's not in I usually get an out of office email back.
I feel so emotional and scared.
But I can't do anything.
Phoning would take up more of her time. [if she's in]

Hi,
I've been a similar position, wanting to trust my manager who I thought i could trust.
I did confide in her and it became a tool of angst against me - mainly through my own insecurities as I became paranoid about whom she had told.
If I could have the chance again, I would think again about confiding in a work colleague, in particular my line manager. If you can, find someone out of work that you can 'lean on' a little. Try not to think too hard on why they may not have responded. There my be several reasons...

I don't have a trust issue with my manager, she is awesome.
I do have an issue with ongoing paranoia and insecurity, which spikes from time to time.

It turns out that pretty much all work IT was down yesterday, over most of the borough. So yeah.

Just about, thanks for asking, Carrie. I was kind of spaced out and a bit irritable, but I made it through the whole day.
