Two poems- Clouds and Sinking
Both of them are about my depression.
Sinking
Trapped ten feet underwater,
Falling to the ocean floor,
Never rising to the surface,
Or floating to the shore.
This weight of water crushing down,
The pressure building on me,
Only spiralling downwards
Into the darkest depths of the sea.
Forever washed out with the tide,
Caught in the waters swell,
Perpetually sinking deeper
Into this underwater hell.
Clouds
The clouds blew in a long time ago
And blocked the sun from me,
They threw a cloak of darkness over,
So blinding, I could no longer see.
Since that day I haven't seen light,
My life has remained in shade,
A perpetual blackness creeping in,
As all the colours fade.
It seems like the sun is gone forever,
And the storms are here to stay,
A torturous, freezing, cold wind blows
And the clouds won't ever go away.
