Hey,
I don't have a whole lot of useful things to say, but I wanted to let you know I understand. My parents moved just after I started uni, from the North of Scotland to the South of England, and yeah, it really does suck. I definitely understand how you're feeling, and it is going to be painful, there's nothing anyone can say to change that.
But having said that, as there's nothing you can do to change it, do try to focus on some of the positives. There will be some. For me, it hasn't been brilliant, but there have been some good bits, it's definitely not all bad. It's a new place to explore, there are interesting things to see. Getting to know the area a bit is actually quite fun. There will probably be things that you can get involved in, get to know people, etc. I know you don't want to lose your room, but presumably you'll have a new room, and spending time making it how you want it to be is good, and it'll make it feel more like home. You don't have to lose your old home entirely, I'm sure you'll be able to go back and visit. I'm sure your friends would be more than happy for you to go visit them; ask them about it, and make sure to keep in touch with them.
I know it's hard. But try not to be too negative about it, it might not be as bad as you think. Take care, I hope things go well xx
