With the amount of people looking for jobs and those who've recently been employed, I thought it would be a good idea to start the job employment thread.
With this thread, you can tell us about upcoming interviews, what jobs you would like to get ect. Also, this thread could be used for anyone who needs help on landing that dream job or any employment concerns anyone might have.
I have had so many interviews in the last few months, and last week I had three. I just scored a part time job working with developmental disabilities, but I need that full time job and I'd rather it be somewhere else. But I must say after all the rejection, it feels good to have an acceptance.
I did get good news today though, one of my references called me saying she got a call from my dream job/workplace and put in a good word. I have to take a deep breath there. I couldn't want this job any more. The place is absolutely beautiful, the job is perfect, the pay is great! In short its everything I've been looking for. Should I mention that I had a dream a few nights before my interview of me working there? Is that weird?
I hope others are having some luck out there. Its rough! I have a second cousin who lost their job working for the government and my step mom's brother who was a CPA also lost his. Good luck to everyone!

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
i have the kind of opposite problem.. im trying to employ people.
i have a lot of work and not enough staff. yup.
lol lucky you!! See what you people are putting us through
I had my second interview today. Seemed to go well, good chance I might get it but you never know. someone might come in with a better grade than me or a smarter hair do?
Last one tomorrow!!!! I hope I get one of these. I just tried doing a job search and there is nothing near by any more Fingers crossed!!!!!!!
I had my second interview today. Went well. I also heard from my first interview and they offered me the job. I didn't actually take the call, they left a message.
But now I have a dilemma. Really and truely I want the job I am interviewing for tomorrow. But, of course, there is a chance I may not get it.
I don't want to say no to the offer when it might be my only offer
I don't want to say yes then have to go back on that
I don't want to leave them hanging either way.
I don't want to explain that actually I would rather wait and see if I get another job because they might just think "well she clearly isn't interested in working for us" URG!
My last interview is in the morning tomorrow so I will have to ask how long it will take to find out if it's a yes or no and call the other job and explain (or "sort of" explain anyway) I do have to go see my Lone Parent Advisor anyways so at least I have a valid excuse for not giving them an answer straight away.
