As many of you will know and some will not - RYL is soon to be TEN years old! First created as Ruin way back in October 1999 the site wasn't really to do with Self Harm support however until a few months later when I took full control of the helm. We therefore technically become ten this october but will be having a party as close as possible to SIAD next year to celebrate the ten years of SH support. And you're invited, wherever you are!
We are still at the planning, pre-venue stage and we need to get a good idea of potential numbers so that we can make this is brilliant as possible.
Basically the plan is this. An all day and evening party in London with member bands playing music, other bands coming in to play around a dozen in total, activities, fun and games, a bar for the over 18's and lots of other member things to see and try like Poi and probably a whole lot of cake! This will be a distraction event rather than a support event - and promises to be a serious load of fun. The more people we can get the better it will be!
At the same time, we also propose parallel meets in most of the major cities and towns in the UK and around the world. We will also be streaming video from the event online all day so that those in other countries get to join in. As many of these country and worldwide meets as possible will also be able to send their video stream or messages to the main party, so it really will allow for interaction between the groups!
There would be a small ticket price (£3 approx) which will help us to have food and a decent venue and various other things. This would only apply to the Main London event not the others.

sounds like fun! Erm, I'm kinda in Spain at the mo, until June, so going might be a bit difficult, but it sounds pretty good apart from that!

Oh i'd go to London if I have ajob and then can get time off said job...if not i'd go to one closer to home. Sounds like fun! Also depends on dates cos its my fiancés 21st in Feb so i might be a little bit poor!
As long as I could get the time off work, damn that'd be rubbish if not.
