District 9
So has anyone seen this yet?
I thought it was a very good film... Was a nice change from having American's all over the place. Lots of action, a half-decent plot, and some good characterisation and acting... Oh and some good special effects =]
Other people's thoughts?

No no no! at least in my opinion. To me its one of those films that would not suite a sequal.

The director has already confirmed that a sequel will be made :P

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

really really good, very effective analogy of apartheid and refugee camps (especially once you know it was filmed on an existing refugee camp people were being transferred from)
uncomfortable perhaps, a sort of black and grey morality, but brilliant imo

As long as it isn't about what happens to him after the first movie and is a new story it should be good.
