So yesterday I reached my PM limit of 600 and decided it was time to have a clear out.. after downloading the messages as text files, I began to purge the older messages which were dated from around march last year.


As I went through, a few caught my eye and I began to read older messages, conversations, and messages of support... and it really brought things back. I've been a member for over two years (not that long compared to many here) but that has been long enough for me to observe how RYL has changed my life for the better.

I've met so many lovely people through here. Nearly all my RYL-related experiences have been for the better. Sometimes I have considered leaving here, but I have always decided against it simply due to the wonderful people I'd be leaving behind.

So thank you everyone. Thank you for all those who in the past have contacted me for whatever reason. It's a shame that I don't get to speak to some of you more often, but feel free to get in touch

i don't save my pm's but i used to sometimes on v2 and i have some really really nice ones from ryl members circa 2005.

I hate deleting Pms incase I delete ones that might make me smile on a crap day.

But yeah, I totally see where you're coming from Mike, sometimes you think it might be better to leave but certain RYLers just keep pulling me back in.

no it doesn't.
if you're a member of the Community Team your PM limit goes up to 600. A normal member has something or other and mods are have like. 2000 or something.

Not all, otherwise it would be too colourful with eZine, CT, Supporters, First Aid Advisers, etc which are all staff.

Personally, I save all my nice ones in one folder and then the ones to make me feel bad in another - I use each as appropriate. But yes, there are some nice people here, it's a shame there are some not-so-nice as well.
