Wasps

Is anyone else noticing a HUGE amount of wasps around this summer?. Is it just me because I'm really scared of them?, or is there actually a lot more?

I have noticed that since I had a dream about wasps they KEEP THREATENING ME!!!

They do! They keep coming scarily close and I never had a problem with wasps until that dream and now I keep embarassing myself with it...

For instance yesterday I was at the cash machine, wasp came, and I had to run off in a weird sort of jig to avoid it!

I don't know if it's any more than usual, though. Strange.

In the restaurant where I work one day last week I counted 12 flying round, customers caught 8 alive and we killed 7, thats a grand total of 27 freaking wasps in 1 day...NOT COOL.

Also, maybe thats a reason for me noticing them more aswell fallen rain, I keep having nightmares about them and then seeing them everywhere!

Not sure if I notice them more because Maggie points every single one out or not.

I think there's more than there have been in recent years but generally it's about right. If anything there numbers are probably still a bit low.

I'd have ran out screaming! Wasps freak me out! >.<

Apparently, if you're scared of them, you tend to notice them a lot more, which makes sense really.

The unit I'm in has a wasps nest in the attic. I got sting in my sleep a few nights ago! Idiot things get it's stinger stuck in my adhesive dressing. And I killed one at 3 am, one at half 5 this morning.

I've not noticed any more than usual.

Though I decided to eat my mcdonalds outside yesterday and there was a very persistant wasp >.<

They like attacking me during garden work, however.

Especially when i'm up a ladder!

I normally just ignore them though... no point in panicing

Not really, though there does seem to be less bees in comparison to wasps.
