I'd be rubbish too, I think I'd spend most of my time panicking in the sea because I have a phobia of snakes and hopelessly trying to spear fish to sustain my existence.
I'm too much of a wimp.
Who basically lives off Apple Juice and cheese.
I'm not sure the supply of either of these things would be plentiful on this island of yours.
I'd also probably cry myself to dehydration :P
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
I would survive awesomely for all of 5 mins before I killed myself, I really couldn't cope without interaction with people for anything longer than 2 months or so!
I just don't think I'd have the resourcefulness to cope on an island. I'd be fine while I still had essentials - like matches - but after those had gone, I'd just not have a clue - maybe it comes from not being part of the scouts?
I'm not sure if it'd be the loneliness or the lack of resourcefulness that'd kill me first, but oen of the two would.
I could do things, I would just go insane without be able to speak to someone/human contact it's one thing I find weird when Heidi goes away, as then I only have human contact for 3 days out of 7 at most and then it's only for a few hours!
Is Cast Away the one will Tom Hanks? And Wilson? If so, I quite enjoyed it when I last saw it.
Aaaanyway, it depends on what sort of island I was on. If it was a desert island then I would probably die, but if it was one of these pardise-type islands with plenty of animals and fruit-bearing trees and whatnot then I'm sure I could survive.
I couldn't survive. I'd miss my boyfriend too much and to think that I'd come home in a few years to find he had a wife and kids.. that would kill me even thinking about it. So no, I couldn't survive, unless he was there :D
I think everyone would be surprised and probably cope better than they think, there is a survival mode inbuilt in every creature of the planet, so that would take over. I wouldn't like to imagine what it'd be like though. I'm sure i could eventually find sources of food and drink and create shelter, but other than that, i think i'd go pretty crazy lmao. Love the film, it's so sad though.
~ 'Paint the skyscrapers with huge totem faces and goblin tikis, and every evening what's left of mankind will retreat to empty zoos and lock itself in cages as protection against the bears and big cats and wolves that pace and watch us from outside the cage bars at night'- Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
~ We'll float around, hang out on clouds, then we'll come down and have a hangover... ~ Feel free to PM ^.^
We watched that film in year 7/8 in English, then we had to do one of those 'pretend you're deserted on an island. How would you survive?' things, lol.
Oh, we also read Lord of the Flies in year 11. Bor-ing! I got sick of it ):
I probably wouldn't, no. I spent half my life watching Ray Mear's Survival Guide, but I don't remember anything remotely useful! I'd probably drink some sea water and then remember that that's a really bad idea. Then I'd be pretty damn screwed.
