I thought text-speak had become extinct after the invention of predictive text. People didnt need to short hand anything anymore.
I never did get text speak anyway. Even when everyone else was using it I was always writing the full words out.

^ I was the same.

I don't get the point of text-talk. It takes me longer to work things like that out than anything else. It also seems incrediblt lazy to me, especially when people use it on the internet.

The only point in text speak is if you're a few charecters over getting everything you want on one text, therefore by using it you save money. However, all those above abreviations are just rediculous. I tried guessing them ebfore i looke dand i think i got one right?

I honestly can't be asked. How exactly does that make the conversation any easier?

I hate text talk.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

It is a wonder isn't it! It seems it would take longer to decipher the meaning of those jumbled letters than it would to just write it out in full. You'd need a list of meanings next to you at all times!

I could understand in text messages once upon a time when it was only 100 characters per messages, but these days phones are capable of so much more! Texts can be a hell of a lot longer.

I despair sometimes!

Reading through this again.. it reminded me of something..
When my brother started to become all "hip" and use text talk... he thought.. "LOL" meant "Lots of Love" lmao
bless him.
