Shout outs thread?

So I was athinking, I know we have the Ezine Shoutouts, but that hasn't seemed to be happening (the eZine I mean) for quite a while. I've noticed in general chat people sometimes post messages to their friends of thanks, or just to tell people that they like them and such, and sometimes it's fine, but other times people get annoyed and make comments like 'erm, take it to pm', and I was thinking maybe a shoutout thread in general could sort of be used for these threads?

I think even if there was one thread for it people will still make there own thread and ignore it. It's just what people seem to do these days.

Wasn't this suggested a while ago, and the conclusion was that people would feel left out if they hadn't got a shout-out?

I think it's a better system than people making individual posts, anyway :)
