Need Advice lost contact with counsellor *UPDATE*

I have been a stranger away from here and in RL too.
But i need advice

It has been weeks since I have seen my Counsellor. I have gone thru a very hard patch. I know I had an appt with her I think last week, but couldnt make it. I called. Usually she calls me back. now it has been like 5 weeks I think. I have called up there 3 times. No response.

Maybe she doesnt want me back?
Maybe life is hectic for her?
Maybe I am confused? (well that is a given)

I am not asking for support. I am not asking for anything from you, but honest advice on how you would handle it.

I had been a burden here. I am a burden anywhere. I need help though.
Maybe just a hug? (see I did ask for something)

OK Rainy lets get one thing straight here. Firstly your counsellor would not ignore you if she no longer wanted to see you. She would sit you down and give you full reason first as to why and then refer you on to another or give you details of others you could contact.

Her life may be hectic but thats not your problem. At the end of the day it is her job and her responsibility to juggle her life and work related issues. If she is hectic then its no reflection upon yourself. If it is affecting her work then she will be off sick or on holiday and therefore someone should be able to tell you when she will be back!

As for your confussion. Well i cant answer that for you im afraid. What i will say is make sure the number you have is the correct one and keep ringing it if it is. It could be that due to it being holiday season that they are short staffed and not answering all the calls. The receptionist may be away and there isnt sufficient cover or something like that. I say keep ringing. To get throught to the doctors over here you have to try and try again. Its usually engaged when you do and when you finally get through its sometimes not answered at all. (usually cus they are busy)

Regardless of reason or whatever the fact that you havent been able to reach her is no fault of your own. there will be a logical explanation for it im sure!

Get on the phone and keep calling.

Like Matthew said, she wouldn't ignore you if she didn't want to see you anymore, she'd talk to you about it, explain why, and refer you to someone else. Not calling you back doesn't mean that she's trying to avoid you, or that she doesn't want to talk to you, just that there's some reason she hasn't been able to call you back yet.

When you say it's been 5 weeks, you mean since you last met with her, right? But how long has it been since you called? It might take a day or two for her to get back to you, especially if it doesn't sound urgent, so if she doesn't return your call immediately that doesn't mean she's not going to. Also, did you leave a message? Obviously she's not going to call back if she doesn't know you called.

If it's been a few days, then is it possible she's out of town for a while? If she had to cancel an appointment she'd of course tell you, or if you frequently call between appointments she'd most likely also warn you, but if she's going away for a while when she wouldn't expect to see or talk to you anyway, she wouldn't necessarily tell you about it, and probably wouldn't get your messages or return your calls until she gets back.

Keep calling. Do you get to leave a message? Or is direct to her? Can you go to the office and leave a note/letter?
FRainy you are NOT being a burden. I hate to sya but i think quite likely she thinks YOU have quit her.
Call her, and then call her again.
There IS a reason for htis and she will explain...but dont give up trying.
Its true, if she no longer wanted to see you she would have let you know. (i had one quack leave me a voice mail cancelling on me because he didnt want to deal with after being hospitalized...rrreeeeaalll professional) But my point is, she WILL have said so.
