So , i have just been put on this to help stabilise my moods.
has anyone been on it?
did it help?
common side effects?

if you read the leaflet in the box it sould give you a better detail of everything...are you using it for bipolar?
Clumsiness or unsteadiness;
dizziness (mild);
drowsiness (mild);
lightheadedness;
nausea or vomiting (mild)
Less Common Side Effects:
Aching joints or muscles; constipation; diarrhea; dryness of mouth; headache; increased sensitivity of skin to sunlight (skin rash, itching, redness or other discoloration of skin, or severe sunburn); increased sweating; irritation or soreness of tongue or mouth; loss of appetite; loss of hair; sexual problems in males; stomach pain or discomfort

i'm on it and i think it's actually stabilizing my mood. (after a million that did nothing)... i have had little side effects with it. maybe a little dizziness. but nothing real bad.

I'm have been on it for just under 3 weeks, taking it with paroxetine. Feel calmer and less anxious and panicky inside, feeling better but whether its down to the meds, I dont know! - have had lots of headaches, insomnia, and want to eat more food as side effects!

It really helped me when I was first diagnosed with bipolar. I used to get headaches though. Unfortunately psychiatrists are reluctant to prescribe it alongside atypical antipsychotics, as carbamazepine eliminates them from your body too quickly for them to have any effect.
