Isle Of Man

I have decided to fall in love with the place!

Anyway the point of this thread:
I'm planning on going over there for a bit with a friend later this month.
But does anyone know any good places we should be visiting? Nice walks and views and beaches?
That we can get to on a bus or something 'cus it is way to expensive to take the car over =[

The Isle of Man is name so because it's an Isle right?
So technically it's just like...man.

So if you're a woman living on the Isle of Man, does this make you a man-woman?

Lol when people talk about the Isle of Man it always reminds me of this:

I've always wanted to go there, seems nice.. Would have to take a nice car of course, explore some of the fabulous roads, what with no speed limits outside of the towns.

It sounds good and all but, the place isn't very big.

I've flown over it.
It really is tiny.

Yup no speed limits! leads to some nasty crashes though! I'd probably still drive round at 30!

Only takes 20 mins to get there by plane, rather feels like a pointless flight really, I've decided just to blow up my dingy and row over there lol.

Then I will buy a house and become a Mann-woman =P

Yes but when i get there I will be able to say YAY I just saved about £40!

Of course the dingy has holes in it and only just managed across a lake and back the other week so I wouldn't get to the island. but drowning would over all save me alot more than £40 I guess....ok I wont row over!

My family and pretty much all my family history is based in the Isle of Mann!

My family was a massive part of building up parts of the island and keeping it in a nice state etc. I love love love love love LOVE the place :)

You can walk pretty much everywhere and Douglas is a nice place to stay.
If you are their during the summer, you can go on boat rides and watch basking sharks and other amazing wildlife :)

There is a lovely swimming pool (well there was when i was last there)

As Morrigan said, Port Erin is wonderful. very safe, very beautiful :)

I think you should go it is fabulous :)

The swimming pool is where my auntie works so has been pointed at every time she has drove us past it lol but she wont be there when we are this year so I shall get lost!

Port Erin sounds nice I shall put that on my list of things to do, along with seeing the sharks XD

Can't wait!!
