Triggering (Substance Abuse) - In A Couple Of Hours From Now...
...My alcohol will run out! Then, that's it! no more!
I have to regain control of my life, i'm 23 and been drinking since i was 15 ...But what in those days of innocence was a joke and funny is now a serious problem ...I accept that!
...I don't want sympathy, i don't expect people to rally round me, and i certainly don't go round thinking the world owes me a favour!
...I just found this forum inspiring and i find it liberating to admit in public, that i have a problem!
You're great people here,
Toby

Your mind fogs up, you open your eyes and you are surrounded,,, chained to what you can't see,,, only sense.
I'm choking when I try to inhale. My throat constricts, I can't swallow,
I think I bit off more than I could chew

Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery. You should get some medical help, you can go through this.A lot of people did...
I don't know if going cold turkey would help, but I incline to think that it wouldn't without support.Maybe contact alcoholics anonymous? They are quite good.
You know, first you take a drink and then the drink takes you.Just take care.

trying to give up any addiction alone is really hard so when you are ready speak to a friend, family member. or doctor about stopping so that some support can be put in place to help you.
like said maybe a group would be good so that you donit feel alone with the addiction and giving it up.

Put simply... It isn't!
In a very low lonely place this week, still am about to leave the house without a drink for the first time this week. & i've remembered my meds, so that's something.
