what is loss of appetite?

Sorry. It may seem a silly question, just I'm confused. I thought it was when you didn't feel hungry but yeah, I am confused.

My eating is all over the place but recently I've been finding it difficult again. I must feel hungry during the day, at times my stomach hurts and I feel sick. I find it hard to eat though. It takes me a very long time to decide what to eat, because nothing appeals to me. I wait untill the evening to have something to eat. When I do, I feel full as if I've eaten a massive meal, after just swallowing a mouth full, literally. I have to force myself to eat.

I'm taking a tiny dose of a tablet that can cause anorexia but I'm not sure if it's linked. I've taken it before and it I didn't feel how I do now.

I'm worried I may have a serious physical illness.

I'm taking Topiramate. I know it can aid weight loss. I did lose weight last time I took it, however I feel it was connected to the stress that was happening then and the fact that I told myself I would regreat it if I ate. I just don't feel able to eat now though. If this is related to the tablet I think I will stop it.

There is a chance that it's from the medication, but it's also possible that your loss of appetite is related to depression/your mental health issues. The fact that you say "nothing looks appealing" sounds to me more like it's a mental issue rather than a lack of hunger or a physical problem.
