I go to a day hospital regularly for my outpatient appointments. It's okay, just like any other psych clinic. Is there anything specific that you would like to know about?

Is it a psychiatric ward you will be going daily to, or is it more like a community centre?

My local CMHT offer lots of groups during the day and I've been to a few before. They offer groups like anxiety and depression management to groups like arts and photography.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

I have been at a day hospital in Coventry since the beginning of May. It is 10-3 every week day. I have a named nurse who I see as and when I need to but you can approach other staff if necessary and psychiatric review is approximately every 2 weeks. For the first few weeks I did activity groups like arts and crafts, art therapy, discussion, newsletter etc etc and then gradually started closed therapeutic groups like 'coping with depression', 'anxiety management' etc etc.

It has been quite helpful to be honest, especially having something structured and having help available when needed. They also liase with the crisis team which has been fairly helpful.

Is there anything in particular you wanted to know? Feel free to PM if you would prefer.

Good luck Kim <3 I've been recommended for similar programs...so let me know how it goes. I'm pretty sure it's just a bunch of therapy groups, activities, and sessions.
